Casa Batlló

Casa Batlló is another one of those insanely amazing buildings designed by Gaudí. Truly worth a visit! Just like Casa Milà, this surrealistic house is located on Passeig de Gràcia. Entering Casa Batlló, you step into a world full of colors, shapes, and light plays that only Gaudí could imagine.

The house is also known as the "House of Bones" because of its skeletal forms. The facade looks like a living painting, with colorful mosaics, but the roof, which resembles dragon scales, might be the most iconic element.

Inside, you'll find wavy walls, stained glass windows, and a spectacular central hall leading to the roof. The play of light inside the house is magical; it feels like you're walking in an underwater world, with blue tiles reflecting light in the most enchanting ways.

As we're used to from Gaudí, there's hardly anything in Casa Batlló with a straight form. This makes it a family-friendly museum where children can also be entertained for a few minutes. Tip: Use the audio guide. It also had a special version for kids.

If you're not there for the architecture, go just to take a few crazy selfies. Totally Gaudí!
